Rags to Riches

My name is Randall Hayes, I was born into a family of rag-pickers. My parents were dirt-poor, and I spent my childhood scouring the streets for anything I could sell to make money. I quickly learned how to turn rags into cash, and before long, I was making more money than my parents ever could.

When I was in his early twenties, I decided to start my own business selling high-class rags. I put all of my hard-earned knowledge into making the best rags possible, and within a few years, my business was thriving.

Today, my company is one of the most successful rag businesses in the country. And it all started with making rags out of old clothes and scraps from the local hardware store.

Grade School Drop-Out

There I was, just a young kid in grade school, and I was having trouble paying attention in class. My teachers would tell me to focus, but it was hard. I wanted to be out there doing something, anything else. So, I started skipping school.

I know that sounds bad, but it’s not like I was doing anything bad. I was just hanging out with my friends, exploring the city. Eventually, my parents found out and they weren’t happy. They threatened to send me away to military school if I didn’t start behaving and going to school.

But that’s when things turned around for me. Because instead of trying to make me do something that I didn’t want to do, they helped me find what did interest me. They got me into after-school programs and summer camps where I could learn new things and explore my passions. And eventually, that led me to where I am today: a successful businessman who dropped out of grade school but never stopped learning.
